About Me

I am 31 years old from Paisley, in Scotland and I am currently studying HNC/D Multimedia Computing at Reid Kerr College in Paisley. I have many interests other than aviation, with my interests covering music, sports, tv/film, computers and gaming and my main interest at the moment, website design.

My interest in aviation, and Glasgow Airport in particular spawns from a very early age, mostly due to the fact that I spent the first 20 years of my life living very close to the airport and within easy viewing of the flightpaths, coupled with this the fact that several family members have been employed by the Airport over the years, the Airport has always been of interest to me.

About this site

This site was created as part of my HNC/D Multimedia Computing Course for the Publishing Advanced Websites Module. The site itself was created using Macromedia Dreamweaver, with additional elements being created with Corel Draw and Corel PhotoPaint.

Glasgow Airport was chosen as the subject matter as aviation is one of my interests and I have a little knowledge in the subject. Each page on this site has information on a different era of Glasgow Airport's history, but is by no means exhaustive, due to time and size constraints, I have made the history as brief and concise as possible. If this has been of interest to you, more extensive information on the history of Glasgow and Renfrew Airport can be found in the books "Glasgow's Airport" by Dugald Cameron, published by Holmes McDougall Ltd and "A Sense of Place" by Dugald Cameron, published by BAA Glasgow.
