Aircraft positioned at the piers before the Terminal Building was expanded in 1989.

Glasgow Airport now stands as Scotland's main International Airport, but this has not always been the case.

This website takes a brief look at Glasgow/Abbotsinch Airfield, from its beginning as a military airfield, through to taking over from Renfrew as the main regional airport in the area, through to its status today, as it stands as Scotland's European and Transatlantic Gateway.
