Glasgow Airport now stands as Scotland's main International Airport, but this has not always been the case. The airfield and the Airport has changed many times over the years and continues to change to this day. This website takes a brief look at Glasgow/Abbotsinch Airfield, from its beginning as a military airfield, through to taking over from Renfrew as the main regional airport in the area, through to its status today, as it stands as Scotland's European and Transatlantic Gateway. |
